Alfie makes the silliest faces. He's got puppy energy and is absolutely ridiculous. That face, those eyes, that toof. We just can't. We love a silly puppy and Alfie doesn't disappoint. This tiny dynamo knows sit, loves treats, and won't say no to a good booty scratch.

Alfie is proof kindness goes a long way. A good person chose to act and not keep walking when they saw Alfie sleeping on the sidewalk. He was brought to our local animal care and control in hopes that he could find a home off of the streets. We broke him out on Valentine's Day in 2024.

Alfie is estimated to be a little over a year old. We have learned quite a bit about him these past few months. He was temp fostered for about a week while his foster’s own dog was away to give him a break. We wanted to see how he would do in a home. He thrived as the only dog. His personality really came through. He had a few accidents as he acclimated, but that was to be expected. He is tolerant of other dogs but can get overstimulated around them. He often has the zoomies and will rough play too hard with other dogs. Though he is currently living in a doggie daycare, his interactions are managed.
We believe that he would do best in a home with no other dogs, cats or kids.
We would love to find him a foster home.

We are a very small rescue. We are a 100% volunteer rescue. We do not have any paid staff. All travel expenses for vetting, intake, meet and greets, home-visits, etc. is paid for by the generosity of our volunteers.

We do require an in-home visit, screening, and verifiable references.

Due to our in-home visit requirements we are ONLY adopting within the city of Chicago, IL. We will not respond to applicants outside of our adoption area.

We will ONLY consider applicants who have filled out our application in full and abide by our rescue protocol.

We will not arrange any meet and greets unless all references have been checked and applicants have been approved.
